Merhaba Binnur,

I am from a part of the world where it is hard to get cubanelle pepper. What could I use as substitute?

Hi,
Cubenelle pepper is Carliston biber.
You can substitute it with any kind of green pepper:)
Take care,

Hi,
It is not easy to find good pastirma in Toronto. We have the great Sucuk here! I am hoping that I will be able to make some dishes with Pastirma this Winter:)
We mostly cook pastirma and sucuk in Winter times. Probably as you know, we Turks love to cook and eat seasonal vegetables and fruits. We have dishes for 4 seasons...because having them seasonal gives the best taste. Winter vegetables Winter time, Summer vegetables Summer time should be cooked to give the best taste to the dishes:) Mostly dry vegetables like kuru fasulye, mercimek, nohut have been eaten cold Winter days.
For these two reasons you haven't see any pastirma recipes in my blog. I am going to post couple of pastirma recipes in Winter:)
You can make with pastirma whatever you make with sucuk like kuru fasulye, yumurta, pide, borek.....:)
Cheers,

Hi Joanne,
I'd love to help you:) But I don't know what they like the most. Let your husband choose a few recipes for you.
Or choose which one would be more easy for you to cook. Then you can cook for your mother in law, too:)

Hi Binnur. We recently had a family holiday in Turkey and we loved it. I was looking for a recipe called "Chicken in oven" which we tasted at Nefis Pide in Fethiye. The dish was delicious and I have been trying to locate something similar but can't, could you please let me know if you have heard of this and if you know the recipe. I am also gonna try some of these yummy looking recipes. Thanks.

It is common name for the chicken cooked in the oven:) I don't know what was in the dish except chicken:)
It may be the different version of Chicken Tava which is I've already posted on the Chicken section.
