Turkish-style Lamb Chops

(Kuzu Pirzola)

Turkish-style Lamb Chops
Rack of Lamb (picture)

Cut the lamb rack individually using a knife (picture). Remove the fat (picture). Take some Saran plastic and place on the lamb chop, then pound few times with a wooden mallet on a wooden board (picture).

You can barbecue each side for 2-3 minutes, or fry in a pan. Heat up the pan and put about one teaspoon butter, melt. Then place the lamb chops and fry each side for about 2 1/2 - 3 minutes. I use a Teflon pan for it. Lamb Chops don't need any marinade before cooking. Just sprinkle some oregano all over and serve while they are still warm.

Meal Ideas:
- Shepherd's Salad, Creamy Yogurt Dip, Bulgur Pilaf with Roasted Vegetables and Chocolate Pear Pie.

Dear Binnur,

Thank you for opening up delicious Turkish cuisine to the rest of the world!
Recently, I stopped by a Turkish restaurant in New York and they served us lavash bread (was soft and puffed up with toasted sesame seeds on top) with a dipping sauce. This sauce was the tastiest dip I have every come across! It was white and had some green flecks. It had the consistency of ketchup and tasted slightly sour.

I really want to know what this dip is and how I can make it because I live a thousand miles away from that restaurant!

I am really hoping you can help me out here...

Thank you

I've been following your blog for a couple of months now (favorite recipe so far, 'Eggs on Yogurt'). What a great idea to add the hidden photos in your step by step of the recipe. I hope you will do that for future recipes.

Dear Ima,
It can be Haydari if the white sauce is yogurt . Creamy Yogurt has a slightly sour taste. I've already post it, here is the address;

Oh wow! It is the same recipe! I ate so much of it last night, on my rice and my kebabs, that I fell asleep right away!

Thank you for sharing, I am going to try out another recipe tonight!
